THE POWER OF BOREDOM!!

Considering I have a history of being joblessly bored and while I continue to excel in the same field ;) here is an insight into the power of boredom :P

Boredom can

1. Wake the devil up, that runs a workshop in your idle mind and make him work overtime.

2. Make you try all the applications of the world on Facebook.

3. Give you the mental strength of watching an Ekta Kapoor serial and actually make you watch the entire episode :O :O

4. Make you laugh at the lamest joke on earth in spite of having heard it a thousand times before.

5. Make you chat with a person you dont even remember seeing last.

6.In extremely serious cases it can make you open your books for studying. Such cases of boredom need to be taken care of at the earliest, before you lose control over the situation :O

7.Make you log in to your Orkut account which by then may have been stuck in a cobweb. (For those of you who are not familiar with the world of social networking ,  though I doubt if there is anyone, Orkut is dead! Facebook killed it.!)

8.Make you Google search your own name.

9.Boredom can make ME write articles like this.

THE GIRL IN THE MIRROR

Before i start off : All characters here are completely fictious and a pure outcome of my boredom and imagination :P :)



I came across a girl today

Wonder what she tried to say

But she just didn't look like a reflection of me

The girl in the mirror was not the way she had to be

Her eyes had hidden pains drowned in silent tears

Eyes that flaunted wounds and fear

While mine never seemed that way

They had sparkle that made people's day

Her lips seemed to be sealed with stories untold

Lips that were kissed by fate's treatment cold

It seemed to hold painful tales wanting to be free

Much different from mine that people could see

Her cheeks were helpless witness to the tears falling down

Eyebrows that did nothing but frown

How different was hers from the face i had

Somehow the girl in the mirror looked terribly sad

Was it an illusion,Was it the truh?

Was it the girl that lied beneath

Beneath my skin,Beneath my smile

Or was it a nightmare i had for a while

Who is it that i truly am today?

The girl in the mirror or the one i potray?

Strange as ever it seemed to be

But THE GIRL IN THE MIRROR was ME!

INNOCENCE MURDERED!

While human rights activists and parents of children on a reality show for kids fight over whats right and whats wrong,its sad to see the state of children on tv shows these days,as they dance to the tunes of fame hungry parents and trp raking channels while their innocence is being murdered!

Who wouldnt like to see young kids brimming with confidence and showcasing their talent at a young age when they have it,but whats sad,is that these kids are no longer presented as kids.With increasing reality shows for kids one doesnt really gets to see the essence of such shows anymore.Gone are the days when such shows were meant for potraying children's talent.Its just a big bad world they are being pushed into by parents who dont see the danger lying ahead and channels who dont really bother.I dont see a point in making kids dance to numbers in skimpy clothes performing like adults or being made to behave like adults be it in a musical reality show or even comic onez.why cant one let children be!Would their talent be less attractive if they performed like all the other children of their age do?What is the point in subjecting children to harsh schedules and mean treatment?Doesn't anybody who push the children in this well realise they are not just stealing the children of their innocence but also going to entirely change the kids thinking and behaviour,now and in the years to come?

At an age when these children are supposed to be enjoying the best few years of their lives,discussing home work cartoons and play,they are trying hard to look their best when they dance the way adults in movies do or trying to make people laugh at nv jokes and behave like mature adults.
When will people realise that you are no less than a criminal when ure robbing children of the best years of their lives and taking away their innocence forever,making an impact on their lives forever,that will never let them be themselves!

Those small li'l things in life and love:)

I read this book by Rahul Saini-Those small lil things in life and love.!It surely isnt the best of books ive read id say,yet it leaves you with an amazing feeling when u complete it.The book is about simple things in life...life with frndz,falling in love and heart breaks(my favourite one was the fact that the protagonist falls in love for the first time in nursery:P )...how we tend to get busy with our everyday life and start cribbing about things and tend to ignore lil things dat can gift u the best of memories...I guess most of us can relate to this...This book surely left an impact on me and that's xactly why i'm scribbling down this philosophical stuff :) :P
Life is beautiful when its simple.We often get so busy running behind things that probably doesnt belong to us and ignoring the beautiful things we already have.Try discovering the beauty in things you usually overlook,Be it the cold breeze caressing ur cheeks when its about to rain,or the hang outs u have with ur group of friends and ending up cracking absolutely silly jokes and laughin like crazy over it,be it the coffee u have in the canteen or a lil kid whom u dont even know smiling back at you on the road,the silly conversations you have with that special someone or getting drenched in the rain,night outs during examz and ending up writing nothing :P........For happiness isnt about the bigger picture of perfection that all of us dream of to achieve someday..its about THOSE SMALL LI'L THINGS IN LIFE AND LOVE.!

**This onez for all my friends....(as if dis is some kinda oscar award:P)and when i say all, i literally mean ALL MY FRIENDS....most of dem r so dam lazy that i know they don even check out ma blog...yet people...i lovve u guys...4 jus bein around and stayin in touch and addin 2 moments and memories in my life:)
