Insane! Me or you?

I sit by the road side
Behind shabby hair, my face I hide
Staring intensely at the crowd passing by
Scaring people who give me a second eye
Some laugh at me, while some walk away
Such a waste of skin Iam, some say
They call me a mad man they call me insane
They say Iam sick and trapped by my mind, Iam in pain
I laugh within, and look at them all
They are as trapped and insane as Iam called


The girl who looks at me on her way,
Symapathises at my condition, every time everyday
I look at the pain in her eyes and symapthise with her instead.
For the broken heart that reflects in those eyes red
For she appears sane, but isn't so
Had she been sane enough, she deserves someone better she'd know


The man dressed up in formals, thinks Im helpless and naive
And I think within, not as helpless as you are under your boss from nine to five


The man who thinks I am disgusting gives me a look that says 'you're so lame!'
I look back at him and think the same
For disgusting, is not lying around mister, like I do
Disgusting is the disrespecting attitude you show everybody around you!


The woman of elan and class laughs at me and the dirt I bring
Little does she know i find her situation more amusing
For as much as she has all the comforts of a world so dreamy
She suffocates inside wanting to be free


And  then there is the young guy who refuses to give me a second glance
And i guess its 'coz he is busy making plans
On how to cheat another chick,
And i wonder if its me, or he who is sick


The mother of two looks at me with eyes sad
And i wonder what is it that's troubling her, my state or the pain of her seeing her kids in company bad


I look at these faces, some trapped, some lost in a world black and blue
Dear sane people, Iam in a much better place than you
Call me insane and you wouldn't be wrong
But deep within all of you carry much more insanity and pain along
